Seamus Cheddar Plunkett Ratified As Laois Senior Hurling Manager
Cheddar Plunkett, who was put forward as Laois senior hurling manager back in December 2020 has been officially announced as the new Laois senior hurling manager.
Plunkett is back in charge of the Laois senior hurlers for his second time having previously served as manager of the O’Moore county between 2012 and 2016.
The Portlaoise man has been heavily in club since stepping down as Laois senior hurling manager in 2016 serving as manager of James Stephens senior hurling team in Kilkenny.
The 2019 Joe McDonagh cup champions look to have a highly regarded management team. Former Limerick senior hurling coach Donnach O’Donnell and former Galway senior hurling coach Francis Forde will act as the selectors under Cheddar Plunkett.
Another noticeable name in the Laois senior hurling management team is former Laois football manager and former Kerry U20 manager John Surgue who will be physio of the team.
