By Paul Shaughnessy
GAA supporters all around the country are signing up for Fantasy Hurling and Fantasy Gaelic Football before the Allianz League gets underway. On Fantasy Hurling and Fantasy Gaelic Football people get to make their own starting 15 but can only pick two players from the one county which makes it all the more interesting. There are over £2300 to be won in prices for the winner.
Cathal McErlean is the man behind Fantasy Hurling and Fantasy Gaelic Football who is hugely passionate about the GAA. McErlean is the current coach of the Monaghan senior hurlers. It costs ten euro to enter both leagues with the money going towards the juvenile section within his hurling club in Dungannon. The Tyrone native said 'his main aim of both leagues is to grow the GAA within the weaker counties'. He talked about the challenge of getting it set up at the start but with the help of Case Dimensions building a website it has only helped said the Monaghan hurling coach.
The Backdoor GAA has partnered up with Fantasy Hurling and Fantasy Gaelic Football by creating our own mini-leagues.
